To open Windows Mobile Setup Import Wizard select Tools > Windows Mobile Setup Import Wizard menu command. Then, follow the wizard steps to import your project.

 

Step 1: first you need to choose if you want to import the Windows Mobile files as either desktop files or device files. Importing the CAB files as desktop files makes the Windows Mobile setup files to be installed as external Windows Mobile packages. When you import the CAB files as devices files, VisualSetup extracts the CAB files' contents to a directory you choose and import all information inside the CAB file to your setup project. Then, select the CAB files you want to import.

 

If you have chosen to import the CAB files as device files, you will have the following steps:

 

Step 2: choose setup device you want to import the files for. You also have the option to create a new setup device with the device's information contained in the CAB files you are importing; if you select this option, you must enter a name for this new setup device.

 

Step 3: select the folder where the CAB files will be extracted.
